Getting Started with Publishing

Q1: Do I need a completed manuscript to start publishing with you?

Not necessarily. While a completed manuscript is ideal, we also work with authors at earlier stages. Whether you're still outlining your book or need ghostwriting support, we can help shape your idea into a publishable manuscript.

Q2: What types of books do you publish?

We work with a wide range of genres including fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, children's books, business books, self-help, poetry, and more. If your book aligns with ethical and professional publishing standards, we're happy to assist.

Q3: Will I retain the rights to my book after publishing?

Yes! With our All-in-One Publishing services, you retain 100% ownership and copyright of your book. You also receive full royalties from all platforms where your book is sold.

Q4: Can I publish both an eBook and a paperback?

Absolutely. We format and publish your book for both eBook (Kindle, Apple Books, etc.) and print (Amazon, IngramSpark, and others). You can also add audiobook production if desired.

Q5: How long does it take to publish a book?

On average, our full-service publishing process takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the stage of your manuscript and the complexity of the design or editing required. We also offer expedited services for urgent launches.

Book Design & Formatting

Q1: Do you provide custom book cover design, or use templates?

We provide fully custom book cover design tailored to your genre, audience, and brand. Our designers create professional covers that meet platform requirements and stand out in online stores—no templates or cookie-cutter designs.

Q2: Can I give input or feedback on the cover and interior layout?

Absolutely! We collaborate with you throughout the process. You’ll be involved in the concept stage, receive preview drafts, and can request revisions until you’re completely satisfied with the final design.

Q3: What file formats do I receive for my book?

You’ll receive:

  • Print-ready PDF (for paperback/hardcover)

  • ePub and/or MOBI (for eBook platforms like Kindle, Apple Books, etc.)

  • Optional: layered source files if needed

Q4: Do you format books for Amazon KDP and IngramSpark?

Yes! We format your book for all major platforms including Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble Press, and more—ensuring size, margins, bleed, and fonts meet each platform’s specs.

Q5: What trim sizes and fonts do you recommend?

For most genres:

  • Trim sizes: 5" x 8", 5.5" x 8.5", or 6" x 9" are common

  • Fonts: Garamond, Minion Pro, and Georgia for fiction; Lato or Source Serif Pro for non-fiction
We’ll guide you based on your book’s type and audience.

Editing & Proofreading

Q1: What’s the difference between editing and proofreading?

Editing involves improving sentence structure, clarity, tone, flow, and overall content quality. It may include developmental and line edits.
Proofreading is the final step, focusing only on surface errors like grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting before publication.

Q2: Do you offer developmental editing or just basic grammar checks?

Yes, we offer developmental editing, line editing, and copyediting based on your manuscript’s needs. Our editorial team evaluates your story structure, consistency, tone, and style—not just grammar.

Q3: Can I review and approve edits before they’re finalized?

Absolutely. We use track changes in Word documents so you can see every suggestion. You’ll review, approve, or discuss edits before anything is finalized.

Q4: How long does the editing process take?

Editing timelines vary by manuscript length and complexity. On average:

  • Proofreading only: 5–7 business days

  • Full editing package: 2–3 weeks
We provide an exact timeline after reviewing your draft.

Q5: Do you edit books in specific genres only?

We work across most genres, including fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, self-help, children’s books, and academic work. We match each manuscript with an editor experienced in that specific genre or category.

Q1: Will my book be available on Amazon and other major platforms?

Yes! We distribute your book to Amazon (Kindle & Paperback), Apple Books, Google Play, Barnes & Noble Press, Kobo, and optional platforms like IngramSpark for expanded global reach, including libraries and bookstores.

  • Custom launch strategies

  • Social media content kits

  • Amazon Author Page setup

  • Email campaigns

  • Help securing early reviews and blog features

We also offer ongoing paid ad support on request.

Q3: Can I track my book sales and royalties?

Q4: Will my book appear in physical bookstores or just online?

By default, your book will be available online. But with IngramSpark distribution, bookstores and libraries can order your book through their global catalog system. We also provide support for pitching to local stores if desired.

Q5: Do you guarantee bestseller rankings or sales volume?

No honest publishing service can guarantee sales or bestseller status. However, we give you the tools, assets, and strategies to significantly improve your visibility and marketing success. Long-term results come from consistency and strategic promotion.
